Do you need any permit to trek in the Langtang Region?
Langtang National Park contains trekking routes in the Langtang region. International trekkers must pay an entrance charge and receive a TIMS card to trek in the Langtang region.
Foreigners must pay 3,000 NPR plus 13% VAT, totalling 3,390 NPR (about US $34) to enter Langtang National Park. Entry cost for SAARC nationals to Langtang National Park: NPR is 200.
Permission granted by TIMS: TIMS cards come in three varieties. Green, blue, and pink are the colours of these cards. Individual trekkers require a US$20 green card. For US$ 10, you can purchase a blue TIMS card for organized group trekkers. Your pink TIMS card will cost only US$6 if you are a member of the SAARC.
What kind of food and accommodation services will I be provided in the overall package?
While trekking in the Langtang Region, you will stay overnight in the teahouse. The room will not be big and luxurious, still, you will get a clean & cosy room with basic facilities. Also, there are high chances of getting common washrooms.
All the meals will be served on the menu of the teahouse. People from Tamang and Sherpa communities run these teahouses, therefore you will also get to taste their delicacies. Dal Bhat, a Nepalese dish, offers your body enough carbs and protein. The lentils, beans, and pulses soup will provide enough protein for your body. Seasonal veggies will also be served in the guest's home, supplying your body with additional nutrients.
You can sample other menu items including Momo (dumplings), locally grown Barley, Buckwheat, Millet, and Corn Roti (Bread), noodles, sandwiches, bakery products, tea, coffee, and more if you give them a chance.
