About Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek - 16 Days

Have you been captivated by the stories of Everest Summit you've heard, read, or seen? The famous trek that leads you to the base of the world's tallest peak is regarded as the grandest trek by seasoned trekkers. Who wouldn't be enthralled by the prospect of making it up to the foot of the world's highest peak, at a height of 29,028 feet? Our Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek 16 Days is a carefully curated itinerary that will allow you to bathe in the glory of the Himalayan conquest!

Yes, for many people who enjoy adventurous travels, the Everest base camp (EBC) journey is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. But have you been putting it off because you might feel like you are not up for the modest services offered along the trail? You only want to travel in elegance, comfort, and luxury and you feel like you cannot give that up? Have you been avoiding it because you believe that the only places to stay are rustic teahouses with minimal amenities? What else! Did you ever entertain the thought of using the jungle as nature’s bathroom? Are you convinced that you must use squat toilets daily? And your concern about landing in the world's most spectacular airport in a twin otter?

You don't have to put your Everest base camp goal on hold just because you prefer comfort. The EBC Trekking trail has everything a luxury trekker could want! The journey is unrivaled, and there are no other possibilities. Everest Base Camp in Nepal has established itself as a world-class multi-day hiking trail over the years.

You can now complete the EBC trek in your style, i.e. in luxury: resting in comfortable beds and eating food of your choice, accompanied by drinks and desserts, flying in and out in a helicopter, hiring as many porters and horses as you need, etc.

You arrive in Kathmandu, the capital city of a magnificent Himalayan country. You can stay at the Hotel Hyatt, Radisson, Soaltee Crown Plaza, Marriott, Hotel Dwarika, or any other 5-star hotel that provides a unique and relaxing cultural experience.

Some lodges in the mountains focus on giving comfort and luxury rather than just a place to sleep. Lukla, Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Khunde, and Thame are part of the Yeti Mountain Home Luxury Lodge chain. The Everest Summit Lodge chain is also present in numerous locations along the trek, serving luxury seekers. You can also stay at the Everest View Hotel, located at the highest elevation, and enjoy the view from the comfort of your window. The Italian Pyramid Lodge in Lobuche greets you and provides you with the highest level of comfort imaginable at this altitude. Only in Dingboche and Gorekshep do you need to compromise a bit (but they are far better than you have anticipated).

You can enjoy the company of an experienced, competent, and kind guide. Porters will assist you with your bags. They require employment, and you require comfort!

You will be in front of four of the world's six tallest peaks: Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu, and Mt. Cho Oyu. Hence, you can simply spend your time wandering, photographing, and admiring the beauty of the Himalayas. Take in the beauty of the surroundings, landscapes, nature, the Himalayas, ancient monasteries, fluttering prayer flags, suspension bridges, and the sound of rushing rivers.

Except for the trek, there is nothing to be concerned about! If you don't want to walk, you can hire a pony instead. We have carefully planned the routes with the acclimatization process in mind. People usually keep two acclimatization days, one at Namche Bazaar (3440m) and the other at Dingboche (4490m), but you can personalize your journey and add 1-to 2 extra days to your trekking schedule to be completely safe from mountain sickness.

Following a short but spectacular flight to Lukla, the luxury adventure to Everest Base Camp Luxury Lodge Trek begins. If you want to add luxury and enjoy the beautiful vistas from the skies, you can ride in a helicopter instead of a twin-otter aeroplane.

The mountains surround you as soon as you step off the plane in Lukla. The trail runs through Sagarmatha National Park, passing past Sherpa communities and providing photographic chances of beautiful mountain scenery around every twist and bend.

As you approach Namche Bazaar, popularly known as the Sherpa capital, you get your first glimpse of the world's tallest peak, Mt. Everest (8848m). You start getting the views of Mt. Lhotse (8516m), Mt. Nuptse (7855m), Mt. Pumori (7161m), Mt. Changaste (7550m), Mt. Amadablam (6856m), Mt. Thamserku (6723m), Mt. Kantega (6685m), Mt. Kusum Khagaru (6367m), Mt. Kongde (6011m) and many more!

Uphills and downhills, suspension and wooden bridges, waterfalls, the rhododendron forest with its diverse plants and animals, stone-paved path, pine trail, yak meadow and herd, Sherpa and their culture, monasteries, mane and Chorten, high passes, and the scenic beauty from altitude all entice visitors to the trekking trail. From various trekking viewpoints, the majestic view of the white Himalayas and sloppy, rocky, and snow-covered landscapes is more than amazing!

The subtropical highland climate, snow-capped mountains, and lush green meadows provide something for everyone. The valleys are nothing short of spectacular, with their diverse topography, diverse terrains, and constantly changing temperatures!

Then there are the unassuming people of multicultural backgrounds. With their generosity and compassion, they put you at rest. Our premium trek experience to the Everest region combines luxury and comfort.

This package combines the beauty of the Himalayas with a little effort to reach the summit and a little luxury throughout the journey! As we enjoy the blanket of mountains enclosing the mystery valley, we pass through exciting bridges, moraines, stupas wrapped in vibrant prayer flags, and the lovely air of Sherpa towns. This is Everest like you’ve never imagined!

You can get the greatest rate on a luxury trek to Everest Base Camp with Outfitter Nepal. Our 16 days Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek has been carefully designed to deliver the perfect balance of luxury and adventure. Finally, with over two decades of experience in the Nepali trekking sector, we have put our hearts and souls into crafting the best possible package! We promise a guaranteed departure! These are some things you get to explore while on your luxurious 16-day EBC trek:

Behold, the most thrilling flight you have got to experience yet

This is the game for you if you want a big adrenaline rush! Only a few people have the opportunity to fly from Kathmandu to Lukla, or, to put it another way, dare to! The Lukla airport is known for being among the riskiest in the world. To put things in perspective, approximately 20 or 30 planes land in Lukla every day during peak season and nearly all of the 30,000 trekkers who visit the area each year travel through Lukla.

It is statistically riskier than a regular commercial airport, yet it is still relatively safe. Airlines have tightened their guidelines for acceptable flight conditions and imposed limits on planes flying the route. Although passenger safety has improved, the travel to Lukla can still be nerve-wracking!

We can also offer you helicopter service if you feel like you would want to experience a more comfortable ride to Lukla! Nonetheless, the adrenaline surge is definitely worth the hassle!

Explore unique cultural heritages of the Sherpa

Sherpas are without a doubt the world's most well-known ethnic group. Photographs of Sherpas taking clients to the summit of Mount Everest, one of the world's most perilous locations, have grabbed headlines.

The Everest region was extremely remote until the surge in adventure trekking. The Sherpas, like any mountain tribe, had honed their adaptation to the isolation and harsh, desolate environment. They were farmers who lived off the Himalayan passes' trade. As evidenced by the countless gompas and chortens, Buddhism had a great impact on their life. You can learn more about the Sherpa culture during your luxury trek to the EBC!

Experience luxury in the wilderness of Sagarmatha National Park

Sagarmatha National Park is bestowed with luscious vegetation, an array of biological diversity and the beauty of the Himalayas! Since the 1960s, tourists have been pouring into the area! People have been drawn to the region because of the beautiful scenery and adventurous trekking and hiking trails.

The national park is home to several endangered animals and birds as well! With our 16-day luxury trek package, you can stay in luxurious hotels within the national park and rest your body! Isn’t that wonderful? You can now accomplish the EBC trek in comfort, sleeping in luxurious beds and eating whatever food you like.

The luxury chain hotels right there on the lap of Everest will be a comfort in your solace. Yeti Mountain Home Luxury Lodges have locations in Lukla, Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Khunde, and Thame. The Everest Summit Lodge franchise operates many locations along the route, catering to luxury travellers. You can also stay at the Everest View Hotel located at the highest elevation, and enjoy the view from your window.

Kala Patthar and the new face of the Everest

Are you aware that we can't view Mount Everest from its base camp? But don't worry; before reaching Everest Base Camp, a short trek from Gorakshep will lead you to Kala Patthar, a rocky ridge.

The sweeping panoramic image of Everest and Ama Dablam from the top of this rock is one of the most stunning mountain views in the world. In addition, the sunrise vista of Everest peaks as the light rays touch the summit is spectacular! Thus, Kala Patthar is rightfully considered the best Everest viewing location.

Delve into the cultural hotspot at Namche Bazaar

Namche Bazaar is the cultural and commercial hub Sagarmatha Region. The Namche Bazaar is a vibrant jumble of homes, restaurants, motels, shops, ATMs, and bakeries. From bakeries to temples to museums, the Namche bazaar's narrow lane, which is shared by yaks, monks, Sherpa traders, and locals, offers a new option around every corner.

You may take brief hikes through Namche Bazaar, shop for unique mountainside Tibetan goods, or even buy trekking equipment while you're there. You can spend your time watching local businesspeople or Sherpa people go about their everyday life if you don't wish to shop.

Everest Base Camp, the ultimate destination

The main purpose of the journey is to reach Everest Base Camp. The base camp is enlivened by colorful tents and stories of adventure and passion told by mountaineers aiming to reach the pinnacle of the world.

After trekking for days to reach Everest Base Camp, why would you turn around and leave in a matter of hours? Spending time at Everest Base Camp will offer you a sense of what an Everest Expedition is like. Without a question, the time spent in Everest base camp is the most inspiring portion of the adventure!

Because the base camp does not have any teahouses, you must stay in Gorakshep as a detour when visiting the base camp.

Everest Base Camp Luxury Lodge Trek Itinerary

With your arrival and departure days to and from Nepal, where you will be trekking for 12 days, Everest Base Luxury is completed in 16 days total. The journey begins with a brief flight to Lukla. The trek then begins by following the old EBC trail. In Namche Bazaar, you get a rest day to adjust to the altitude and acclimate. The climb to Everest Base Camp continues through Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, and Gorekshep. From Gorekshep, you trek to Everest base camp and then return to Gorekshep for your final night in the mountains.

The next morning, you hike to the Kala Patthar viewpoint. The sunrise over Everest and the surrounding mountain peaks are spectacular! You go back to Gorekshep for a catered meal. We can either take a helicopter from Gorakshek to Lukla, fly directly to Kathmandu, or trek the following days! The trek takes you from Pheriche through Namche Bazaar, then to Lukla! The luxury trip is available all year, so contact us for the most up-to-date rates and booking information. Also, if the stated itinerary does not fit your convenience, we will be pleased to tailor-make and personalize the trek for you.

Everest Base Camp Luxury Lodge Trek Cost

The standard cost of a luxury trek package for a group of 6 to 12 persons is around US$ XXX. Similarly, the package costs US$ XXX for a party of two to five people. If you are a solo trekker, it might be a bit on the higher end, with a total expenditure of US$ XXX. The cost of the package can be adjusted to suit your needs. However, depending on your changes to the schedule, the overall package price may increase or decrease!

If you wish to personalize the helicopter ride option beyond our regular package, we've put up a list of extras that many trekkers have chosen. Instead of flying from Lukla to Lukla via a commercial flight, you can book a helicopter flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. This would raise the package's budget. Similarly, you can request a helicopter flight from Gorakshep to Lukla and then board your regular Lukla flight. This would lower the overall cost of your package! If you have any other ideas, please share them with us so we can adjust your itinerary. We want you to know that we're resourceful and will make every effort to fulfil your needs.

These are the answers to some of the frequently asked questions regarding your trekking to the Everest Region

How difficult is it to trek in the Everest Region?

The trek to the base camp is considered to be moderately challenging. But don't worry; you can make it! To begin, you don't need a climbing experience, and there are no difficult climbing stages on the Everest Base Camp luxury lodge trek. With determination and a basic level of fitness, you should be able to trek the course. We've seen people of various ages, sizes, and forms complete the journey while smiling!

How luxurious will the trekking be?

You will be staying at 4-5 Michelin star hotels in Kathmandu and even in the Everest trekking regions! Yeti Mountain Home Luxury Lodges have locations in Lukla, Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Khunde, and Thame. The Everest Summit Lodge franchise operates in many spots along the route, catering to luxury travellers.

You can also stay at the Everest View Hotel and enjoy the view at the highest elevation hotel. The Italian Pyramid Lodge in Lobuche welcomes you and offers you the most luxurious accommodations at this height. Only at Dingboche and Gorekshep do you have to make certain concessions (but they are far better than you have imagined being).

You can now trek to Everest base camp in luxury, sleeping in luxurious beds and eating food of your choice, accompanied by drinks and desserts, flying in and out in a helicopter, hiring as many porters and horses as you need, and so on.

When is the best time to trek in the Everest Region?

The trek can be completed at any time of year. However, the best months for the trek luxury are regarded to be March to May (spring) and September to November (fall). Autumn is a great time to travel because it isn't too hot or too chilly. Because the sky is less hazy, trekkers ascending the base camp have better visibility.

Trekkers have a high appreciation for the winter season in this situation. Because the entire region is buried with snow, not because the weather is overcast. Even though it's colder at higher elevations, the trails aren't as slick as they are during Monsoon season.

In the winter, Everest has a lot more to offer, such as wildlife and flora. On the other side, fog and mist can hinder views of the mountains and valleys.

With that being said, you can do your luxury EBC trek any time of the year with experienced guides and porters from a reputable trekking company!

How luxurious is the food and accommodation during the luxury trek to the Everest Base Camp?

During the trek, meals and lodging are provided at luxury lodges such as the Yeti Mountain Home, Everest View Hotel, and Culture Home. These are the top luxury lodges in the Khumbu region, with excellent food and accommodations.

We recommend Dal Bhat, a Nepalese dish that provides enough carbohydrates and protein for your body. You'll get plenty of protein from the lentils, beans, and pulses soup. Syakpa, commonly known as Sherpa stew, is another favourite dish! Fresh seasonal vegetables will also be served in the hotel, providing additional nutrients to your body.

Noodles, sandwiches, bakery items, tea, coffee, and a variety of other Western dishes are also available. Buckwheat, millet, and barley are high-fibre cereals that are also nutritionally dense. Noodles, spaghetti, macaroni, pizza, lasagna, various curry dishes, and fried rice are just a few of the delicacies you can enjoy on your journey!

Do you require permits during your luxury trek in the Everest Region?

Yes, you require permits for trekking in the Everest Region! If you wish to start your trek from Lukla, you'll need two permits. A Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit costs NRP 3,000 per person for foreigners and NRP 1,500 for members of SAARC countries. Nepalese are taxed NRP 100 per person. The Khumbu Rural Municipality Entrance Permit costs NRP 2,000 per trekker. Every trekker, regardless of nationality, must get a Khumbu Rural Municipality Entrance Permit.

How to get ready for a trekking to the base camp?

Cardio workouts such as walking, jogging, swimming, and cycling help your body learn to perform better with less oxygen. When trekking at a high altitude, this will allow you to keep your breath and concentrate, allowing you to enjoy the adventure much more. When you're tired and want to quit, remember why you're doing it and gradually increase the difficulty and duration of your workouts.

Hiking is the most effective way to prepare for your trek to base camp. Find some nearby trails, take a walk through town, or just take a walk. Get used to taking long walks. Find out where your body has trouble and how far you can push it. You'll be surprised at how far you can go once you've gotten used to pushing through the first wave of pain.
